Must see Blue Belt sparring with a Black Belt

When sparring with my students it’s never my intention to show off by smashing or pummeling them using unnecessary “high level” techniques. The idea is to try and practice with them in a productive and respectful manner, always avoiding combative techniques that can hurt them. In this quick highlight (to the trained eye) one can see that we aren’t using sporadic techniques that don’t match the knowledge & experience of the student. Instead we are using calculated and consistent movements that help the student analyze weaknesses that need to strengthened. This is very important for the positive development of the young practitioner going up the ranks from white, blue, purple, brown and ultimately to black belt. ~Professor Josef Manuel
